Alina Birkner plays with time and space in a way that reminds me of why art is still good sometimes. I am reminded of Olafur Eliasson but in all of the good ways. She plays with medium as much as as she does with form and content – the frames become as interesting as the painting. This is German art at it's peak — I have never been to Munich but I want to go now.
