Edward Carvalho-Monaghan's Illustrations are paradoxically both maximalist and minimalist. I love them. Obviously I see a lot of Roy Lichtenstein in these things but where Lichtenstein and 60's pop art is constricted by technology to look analog and material I see a very contemporary style in Edward's work. His latest cover for Jacobin Magazine is really great.
It would be really cool to see these illustrations in 3D!
